Expresión útil It's being fixed right now. — Use “is being” + past participle for something happening now. Se está arreglando ahora mismo. — Utilice “is being” + pasado de la víctima para algo que está sucediendo ahora.

Palabra allegedly /əˈledʒɪdli/ — People say it's true, but it hasn't been proven. supuestamente /əˈledʒɪdli/ — La gente dice que es verdad, pero no ha sido probado.

The money was allegedly stolen by the manager. El dinero fue supuestamente robado por el gerente.
He was allegedly seen in Paris. Al parecer, fue visto en París.

ErrorStop saying “I am born in 1999”

Stop saying “I am born in 1999”. Deja de decir “I am born in 1999”.

Error frecuente ~~I am born in 1999.~~ → I was born in 1999.

Por qué: “Born” is a passive, and your birth happened in the past. So: was born. “Born” es un pasivo, y tu nacimiento ocurrió en el pasado. Así que: nació.

Where were you born? ¿Dónde naciste?
She was born in Lagos. Nació en Lagos.
My parents were born in the same town. Mis padres nacieron en la misma ciudad.

Palabra fix /fɪks/ / fixed /fɪkst/ fija /fɪks/ / fija /fɪkst/

Astuce (fix) : “fixed” ends with “kst”: three consonants. Astuce (fix) : “fixed” termina con “kst”: tres consonantes.
